Kenneth Dale (Cowboy) Burns Sr., 56 of Satsuma, Florida passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in Gainesville, Fl. Cowboy loved to cook, help others and fishing. He was an avid Gator fan. Cowboy was born on January 3, 1960 in Jacksonville, Fl. He is preceded in death by his mother, Peggy J. Hamby. He is survived by his wife Peggy Burns of 20 years of Satsuma, Fl.; his father Bill Hamby of Palatka, Fl.; son, Kenneth Dale (DJ) Burns Jr., of Satsuma, Fl.; daughters, Michelle Allen of Gainesville, Ga., Denise Waldrop of Cleveland, Tn., Angela Barnett of Starke, Fl.; brother, Billy Ray Hamby Jr. and wife, Doreen of Palatka, Fl.; sisters, Deborah Pinner and husband, Robert of Palatka, Fl., Elizabeth Burns of North Augusta, SC, Penny (Penji) Hamby of Palatka, Fl.; Grandchildren, Kenny Burns, Bradley, Stacie and Dylan Allen, Britnie, Kayla and Jay Waldrop, Justin Moody, Cicera Cody and Miranda Barnett.; nine great grandchildren and his best friend, Tom Davenport. Cowboy's life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29, 2016, 12 Noon at Church of God of San Mateo with Pastor Phil Wyatt as officiant. The Family will receive friends beginning at 11 :00 AM prior to the service.
