Lawrence B.(Larry) Hayes, 89 of Georgetown, Florida passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Ralph and Helen Hayes on February 20, 1929. He graduated from Lee High School and spent two years in the Army. Larry was employed with General Electric Company and retired after 36 years of service. He was a long standing member of Palatka Yacht Club and his final years were spent with his son, Mark Hayes of Crescent City, Fl. He is preceded in death by his wife, Freda (Crone) Hayes and his brother, Richard Hayes. He is survived by his son, Mark Hayes; daughter, Linda Johnson and two grandchildren, Christa and Zachary Johnson. Larry’s funeral service will be Saturday, September 22, 2018, 11 AM at Watts Funeral Home in San Mateo, Fl. He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fl. on Monday, September 24, 2018. Memories and condolences may be shared with his family at wattsfuneralhomes.com
