Odell Gillette, 75, of Crescent City, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness. Dell was born in Ohio and was a resident of Crescent City for over 30 years. He was a deacon at his church and loved singing in the choir, playing the piano, and he enjoyed ministering to local nursing homes spreading the Gospel. Dell is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Gillette of Crescent City; six siblings; four step children, Tonya (Mark) Legrand of La., Jeffrey Ridenhour (Adrienne) of Barberville, Melody (August) Palmer of Crescent City, Angie (Richard) Hladki of Crescent City; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and his church family. A Memorial Service is not planned at this time. In lieu of flowers his family request memorial donations to be sent to Dell’s beloved church, Beulah Baptist Church -P.O. Box 381 Georgetown, Fl. 32139 in his memory. Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of the arrangements.
