Ronnie N. Cochran Sr., 70 of Satsuma, Florida passed  away on Saturday, July 2, 2016. Ronnie was born in St. Augustine, Florida on November 18, 1945 to the late Maxie and Bernice Cochran.  He loved fishing, family, and  watching the old shows on television.  Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip, Richard and Jimmy Cochran, sister, Barbara Flint.  Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Marjorie D. Cochran of Satsuma, Fl.; sons, Eddie Cochran of Satsuma, Fl., Ronnie N. Cochran Jr., of Flagler Estates, Fl., David Cochran of Flagler Beach, Fl.; daughter, Rhonda Kay George and husband, William of Daytona Beach, Fl.; step son, William Ronnie Mullins Jr.and wife, Diedre of Palatka, Fl.; brother, Charles Cochran and wife, Joyce

of St. Augustine, Fl.; sisters, Daurice Taylor of St. Augustine, Fl., Virginia Jones and husband, Waymon of Houston, Tx., Betty of Deland, Fl., Maxine Dyer of Ormond Beach, Fl., numerous grandchildren and several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.  A Service will be announced at a later date. Donna Rae Hill, 70 of Satsuma, Florida passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Donna was born in Jacksonville, Florida on August 10, 1945 to Burne and Evelyn Hill. She was an avid bird watcher. She enjoyed fishing, reading, singing in the choir at church and helping others. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Carl Mitchell Masters; brother,Eugene W. Hill Sr.and sister, Eva P. Carter.  She is survived  by her son, Timothy Masters and wife, Margie of Jacksonville, Fl.; Susan Masters-Hartloge and husband, Richard of Jacksonville, Fl.; soul mate and best friend, Carl L. Masters of Satsuma, Fl.; brother B.W. Hill Jr. of Swainsboro, Ga.; four nieces and three nephews;  grandkids, Jonathan Masters and Shanna Masters-Atkins; two great grandkids, Bryar and Baelyn. A Memorial will be Saturday, 11:30 AM July 16, 2016 at Georgetown United Methodist Church. Corey loved woodworking and his motorcycle. Survivors are his life partner of 25 years, Tanya Gryka of Lake Como, Fl.; son, Corey Humphrey, Jr., of Daytona Beach, Fl.; daughters, Marcie Potts and husband , Chris of Kent City, MI., Jodie Hoogewind of Fort White, Fl.; three granddaughters and two grandsons;  four great grandchildren and his extended family at Home Depot in Palatka, Fl. Gale H. (Rick) Robinson, 85 of San Mateo, Florida passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Rick was born in Hornell, New York on August 31, 1930 to the late Roland and Leura Robinson. He was an  antique picker, loved  auctions, hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors, and playing chess on his Kindle. Rick never met a stranger and enjoyed meeting people. He owned and operator T.R. Vaccum repair for 42years in Hornell, NY and in Palatka, Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and James Robinson. He lives on in the hearts of his wife, Belle Robinson of 56 years of San Mateo, Fl.; sons, Terry W. Robinson and wife, Megan of Jacksonville, Fl., Rick H. Robinson and wife, Kimberly of Macclenny, Fl.; daughter, Karen J. Norris and husband, Joseph of Palatka, Fl.; brother, Roland Robinson of Hartsville, NY ; grandchildren,  Athina, Ashley Marie, Jeffrey, Teddy, Taelor, Cody, Rick Edward, Rebeka, Ashley Emilyn, and Gage; great grandchildren, Madison, Rachel, Lexy, Bryson, Kaylee, Elijah, Evan, Shelby,Chase, Rebecca, Madelyn, Rick Isaac, Abigale, and Amalie.  Rick's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, 6 PM at Watts Funeral Home, San Mateo, Fl.  Memories may be shared with his family on line at www.wattsfuneralhomes.com

Carolyn S. Rothermel, 74 of Crescent City, Florida passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 i n Green Cove Springs.  Carolyn was born on December 16, 1941 in Wheeling, W. Va., to the late Vernon and Loretta Shaffer.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and her little dog, Gidget. She also enjoyed the view over the lake on the back side of where she lived.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Shaffer and her nephew, Shawn Birch.  Survivors are her husband, Dennis R. Rothermel of 40 years; daughters and sons, Alexa Sanders and husband, Mark of Lusby, MD., William Elrod and wife, Teresa of Flagler Estates, Fl., David Elrod of Crescent City, Fl., Kristi Judd and husband, Darren of Pomona Park, Fl., Dennis Rothermel Jr., and wife, Heather of East Palatka, Fl., Denise Wallace and husband, Lomax of Birmingham, Al., William Dale Rothermel and wife, Hillary of LaBelle, Fl.; fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. 

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 108 Rothermel Lane Crescent City, Fl. Daniel  (Danny) Dale

Daniel  (Danny) Dale,72 of Georgetown, Florida passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Orange Park, Fl.. Danny was born in Coffee County, Ga., on July 31, 1944 to the late Dan and Grace Dale.  He was owner and operated of  Dale's Auto Sales for 40 years in Crescent City, Fl. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge #1641 in Crescent City for 25 years.

Survivors are his wife of 36 years, Pat Dale of Georgetown, Fl.; son,  Daniel Dale Jr., and wife, Katie of San Mateo, Fl.; daughters, Sue Bennett and husband, Tony of Pomona Park, Fl., Kelly Helton of Palatka, Fl.; sons, Andy Tait and wife, Savannah of Beaver Creek, Ky., Jack Thomas and wife, Kathy of Ky., Pat Thomas and wife, Kelly of Orange City, Fl., Richard (Richie) Thomas and wife, Sara of Crescent City, Fl.; twenty seven grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren and numerous friends and neighbors.  

Danny mentored several young boys who turned into good men. Danny's Life will be celebrated on Monday August 15, 2016, 11 AM at Word of Faith Bible Church in Crescent City with Rev. Howard Cox officiating. Danny will be laid to rest at Eden Cemetery in Crescent City, Fl. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 3-5 PM at Watts Funeral Home and on Monday at the church at 10 AM until the time of the service. Carolyn Faye Byrd

Carolyn Faye Byrd, 72 of San Mateo, Florida went to her eternal home on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.  Mrs. Byrd was born in Geneva, Ala. on August 13, 1943 to the late Charles A. and Bernice Trim.  She was co founder of Byrd's Mobile Sales established in 1984 in San Mateo.  She loved her family, fishing, hunting, and cooking. She had a green thumb when it came to gardening. She was a member of  San Mateo Baptist Church and for years attended Dunns Creek Baptist Church.  Besides her parents she is preceded by her husband of 53 yrs., William Byrd; infant son, William D. Byrd III,  granddaughter, Misty Faye Stephens, brother, Charles W.Trim and sister, Nancy L. Trim.   

She is survived by her son, William D.( Donnie)  Byrd, Jr., and wife Dina of San Mateo, Fl.; daughters, Teresa A. Byrd  and Angela D. Sawyer both of San Mateo, Fl.; grandchildren, William D. Byrd III and wife Heather, Joshua H. Byrd and wife, Jessica, Bo Byrd and Kaycee Gaulden, Trystan Byrd, Chelsea Sawyer, Steven Sawyer, Aliya L. Byrd ; great grandchildren, Kelly Byrd, Zoe Easton, Mezzmariah, and Airranna; brother in law, John Byrd; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Byrd's Life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 13, 2016, 1 PM at Dunns Creek Baptist Church with Revs. Terry Wright and Rob Stone officiating. 

She will be laid to rest at Oakhill Cemetery West in Palatka, Fl .Visitation will be  at Dunns Creek Baptist Church at 11 AM until of service. Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center is entrusted to the arrangements. Dianna Kay Reynolds, 70 passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka, Fl. Mrs. Reynolds was born on October 19, 1945 in New York to the late Raymond and Bertha Kerfien.  Dianna loved to read, work crossword puzzles, and spend  time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Scott Reynolds and wife, Kimberly of Palatka, Fl.; daughter, Sandra Grater of Lebanon, TN; brother, Alton Kerfien of Aswego, NY; sisters, Sheila Schleicher of SD, Linda Jodway and husband, Danny of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Jessica Counts, Brandon, Ashley, and Krystin Grater, Daniel Reynolds, and  Cody Meeker; great grandaughter, Makenzie Carrigan; numerous nieces and nephews.

James V. (Jim) Childers, 81 of Satsuma, Florida passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016.  Jim was born on June 6, 1936 in Thelma, Kentucky to the late John and Eunice Childers.  He was a knife collector, an avid fisherman, and a devoted family man. He was a members of Pipefitters Local 630 in West Palm Beach, Fl., for 55 years.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during wartime.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Welaka where he was active as long as he was able.  Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Doris Raye Childers.  He is survived by sons, James Childers Jr., and wife, Denise of Welaka, Fl., John Kipling Childers of Orlando, Fl.; daughters, Cheryl Sexton of  Satsuma, Fl.,  and Sandra Gleason of Cleveland, Ohio; brother, John Childers and wife, Helga of TN; grandchildren, John and James Childers, Audrey and Roger Gleason, Elijah and Bryce Byrd.  A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday 11 AM August 24, 2016 at Welaka First Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Holland officiating. Memories may be shared with his family on line at www.wattsfuneralhomes.com Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center is entrusted to the arrangements.
