John E. Fletcher, 93 of Crescent City, Fl., went to his eternal home on Thursday, February 14, 2019. John was born in Indiana to the late Wallace and Naomi Fletcher. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country in World War II. John loved all sports and enjoyed golfing. He loved to work outside in the yard. He faithfully served Beulah Baptist Church where he was a deacon and sang in the choir. He loved to eat out and enjoyed people and could talk about anything. Family was important to him. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his sons, James Fletcher, Gary Fletcher. and David Ruhlig. John is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Phyllis Fletcher of Crescent City, Fl., son, Rodney Fletcher and his wife, Kathy of Crawsfordville, In.; daughters, Kathy Bainter of Naples, Fl., Diana Ruhlig-Hendix and her husband, Steven of Summerville, SC.; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his church family. John’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, 11 AM at Beulah Baptist Church with Pastor Robby Paxton officiating. The committal will follow at Beulah Baptist Church cemetery. Military honors will be presented by the United States Navy. There is no visitation. Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center is entrusted to the arrangements.

DeEtta M. Webb, 78 of Satsuma, Florida passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. She was born in Barnardsville, N.C., to the late Clestus and Comil Webb. She loved to fish. She and her late husband, Dean lived in Florida for six months and six months in North Carolina. DeEtta was a member of Dunns Creek Baptist Church in San Mateo where she was active with the women of the church, Sunday School, and helped with expectant mothers. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Dean Webb, son, Ralph Eugene Webb; grandson, Ralph. E. Webb; brother, Nathan Webb; and half brother, Jimmy Webb. DeEtta is survived by her grandson, Jason Dean Webb (Jennifer) of Satsuma, Fl.; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Jessi; numerous nieces and nephews that love her dearly; step mother, Edna Webb of Barnardsville, NC.; brother, James Eli Webb of SC; step sister, Donna Fulbright of Barnardsville, NC.; half brother, Rev. Jerry (Evie) Webb of Barnardsville, NC.; sister-in-law, Helen Anderson of Asheville, NC.; brother-in-law, Larry Webb ( Brenda) of Leicester, NC; brother-in-law, Ryan Webb (Marlene) of Leiscester, NC. Faye E. Sparkman, 75 of Interlachen, Florida passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Faye was born in Pennsylvania to the late Daniel and Elsie Hummel. She was passionate about politics and religion. She was a member of the Southern Methodist Church in Port Salerno, Fl. She retired from the Martin County School District as a Cafeteria Manager and then she went to work for Palatka Ford as the ACC Manager. After retirement she served on the Putnam County Planning and Zoning Board for many years. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Brian Daniel Sparkman and daughter, Bonnie Sue Whitting. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Merle (Sparky) Sparkman of Interlachen, Fl.; daughter, Brenda Sanders of Selinsgrove, Pa.; brother, Larry Hummel and wife, Shirley of Dillsburg, Pa.; two grandchildren, Angel Ray and husband, Shaun and Mindy Zacharzewski and husband, Jeff of Selinsgrove, Pa.;three great grandchildren, Bryan, Tanner, and Riley; several nieces,nephews, great nieces and nephews. Gerald R. (Jerry) Clothier, 81 of Pomona Park, Florida passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Jerry was born in Corinth, New York to the late Raymond and Edna Clothier. He loved Nascar racing, auctions where he spent time with his friends, flea markets, and camp. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, #1641 and Eagles both of Crescent City, Fl. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Claudia Clothier of Pomona Park, Fl.; sons, Keith Clothier and his wife, Sandy of Corinth, NY., Kevin Clothier of Alabama; daughters, Anita Pivia and her husband, Mike of NC., Jerralyn Rodino and her husband, Robert of NY., Ann Thompson of GA., Suzanne Battaglia and her husband, Brian of Amsterdam, NY; brother, Gary Clothier of Pomona Park, Fl.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was a member of Station #10, Pomona Park, Fl for eighteen years and served as Chief for the past four years. Mel’s life was the “fire department.” He was always first on scene.
